Oval picture of cherubs

This picture reproduces Rafael’s angels splendidly worked in 925 silver, hand-made and decorated. It is a little detail of the famous Rafael Sanzio’s masterpiece called Sixtine Madonna (1513-1514) exposed at the Germaeldegalerie in Dresden. It was made for the Benedictine monks of the San Sisto Church in Piacenza, later sold to the prince August III, Elector of Saxony in 1754. The angel at the Virgin’s feet expresses admiration and peace. The quietness is the main character of this scene.
